Preparaing to open the Sensory Bay Afro-Caribbean restaurant was a busy enough job with the launch on 25 . July 2025. But it was only one week before the team was delivering their first outside catering job for the Artists Attic Trust on Saturday, 2 August.
Pictured with a selection of items from the Sensory Bay restaurant menu is Fasu, the magician in the kitchen who produces the food from fresh ingredients every day, Matt Cham, the restaurant manager (left) and Linda Holmes, Proprietor of the Sensory World Play Centre in Old Westgate where the restaurant is located.
Conveniently, Artists Attic is only a hundred metres down Daisy Hill so their social networking event to bring artist working in the local area together to talk about developments in Dewsbury was not hard to reach. And with a close working relationship based on community activities Artists Attic were pleased to help promote the new venture by Sensory World.
There are good places to eat in the area but nothing else brings the authentic fusion of Afro-Caribbean that Dewsbury now has available from Sensory Bay. Authentic fresh cooked food and a beautifully presented buffet offering something for everyone whether curry lovers, veg, halal or vegan. Highly recommended.
